How to add me to your Business Profile

A 2-minute guide. You’ll need to be the Primary Owner or an existing Manager.

HELP HUB > ADD ME TO GOOGLE BUSINESS PROFILE

QUICK START

Email to add: [email protected]COPY

Permission: Manager

Where: Google search → search your business name → click the three dots → Business Profile settings → Managers

Your Google Business Profile is the listing that shows up when someone searches for your business by name, the box on the right of Google search results with your hours, phone number, photos and reviews. It’s also what powers the Google Maps result for your business.

“Manager” access lets me post updates, respond to reviews, upload photos, and edit the business information. It does not give me ownership, that stays with you. Only the Primary Owner can remove the business entirely or transfer it.

A small note on the path below: Google has moved this menu around a lot over the years. The path that works in 2026 starts from a Google search of your business name, not from a separate Business Profile dashboard.

STEP 01

Sign into Google and search for your business

Make sure you’re signed in to the Google account that owns your Business Profile. Then go to Google and search for your business by name. Your profile should appear on the right-hand side of the results (or at the top on mobile) with a panel of management options above it.

STEP 02

Click the three dots menu

In the management panel for your business, click the three dots (⋮) icon. A menu will open.

STEP 03

Choose "Business Profile settings"

From the menu, click “Business Profile settings”.

STEP 04

Click "Managers"

You’ll see a list of settings. Click “Managers” this is where everyone with access to your profile is listed.

STEP 05

Click "Add" and paste my email

Click the Add button. Paste in [email protected], then from the Access dropdown, choose Manager.

STEP 06

Click "Invite"

That sends the invite my way. I’ll accept it within one business day and let you know everything’s working.

Something not working?

A few possibilities. Your profile might not be verified yet (verification can take a few days). It might be listed under a slightly different name. Or it might not exist at all yet, in which case start with the “Set up Google Business Profile” guide.
You’re likely signed in as a regular user rather than an owner or manager. The management panel only appears for accounts with access. Check you’re signed into the right Google account, the one originally used to claim the business.
More common than you’d think, often it’s a previous staff member or web developer. Google has a “Request access” process built into the search panel. Click into the profile, look for the option to request ownership, and follow the steps. Send me an email if you get stuck, this one usually needs a five-minute conversation.
Done?

I've added you: what now?

I’ll accept the invite within one business day and start posting updates, responding to reviews and keeping the profile fresh.
