When we started working with this client, they were feeling pretty stuck with their website. They had seen success that came with support for small business during COVID lockdowns, but this was starting to dwindle and they needed some serious help to keep momentum going

The theme on their website looked nice but had way too much white space, and they really needed to use space better so that brand messaging was clearer, and products could be optimised well. On top of that, the site was painfully slow— visitors-click-away slow — and it was dragging down their rankings.

Then there was the tricky part:

They wanted their copy to appeal to both US and Australian audiences, which meant finding just the right balance in tone and keywords for two very different markets. Audiences in Australia and the US were searching entirely different keywords, so the site needed to be spilt by geographical view, so both areas would be optimised for their audiences – not an easy task!!

They knew their website and their business had loads of potential but needed some serious tweaking to really shine and connect with their audience.

Having great success through the start of Covid and the national drive to support small, support local, this client wanted to continue their trajectory with long-term marketing strategies. 

We took the time to have multiple 1:1 meetings to clarify all levels of business, from profit margins to brand voice, to growth targets. We made sure we knew this business inside and out before preparing a strategy that targeted 50 individual products, and then wordage for an Australian audience, with completely separate copy for their US market.

We completed monthly SEO work for this client over 12 months, with a focused SEO strategy tailored to their business goals

  1. Targeted Keyword Strategy for Multiple Markets:
    We mapped out the client’s product catalogue of over 50 individual products and developed a dual-market keyword strategy to cater to both Australian and US audiences. Each product received highly specific, geo-targeted copy to minimise keyword cannibalisation and maximise relevance for each region.
  2. Site Optimisation for Traffic Growth:
    The website was optimised for geographic targeting, utilising different keywords for each market. We also addressed ranking factors that were initially weak, creating a strong foundation for sustained growth.
  3. Content Creation for Desire Marketing:
    To complement product-based keywords, we launched a blog series aimed at capturing searches related to the use and benefits of the products. This expanded keyword reach and connected with audiences driven by a need for the client’s offerings.

    Despite uncontrollable challenges like restocking delays, which increased bounce rates, we maintained focus on long-term growth strategies to ensure consistent improvement in performance.
